The results are in, and I wanted you to be the first to know to mark your calendar for Tuesday, May 24. Thanks to your support, I made the runoff for House District 73!
In a contentious primary with three Republican candidates, a runoff is not unexpected. I’m honored to have each and every vote that allowed me a place on the ballot for a second time — but the fight isn’t over yet.
I’m up against a candidate with a history of raising property taxes, boasting about implementing draconian lockdowns, and even profiting off federal bailouts meant for struggling businesses he himself forced to close. A candidate who launched a desperate smear campaign against a small veteran-focused nonprofit organization because he knows he can’t win on the issues. A candidate who claims to care for this district — yet rarely pauses flinging mud to tell voters what he’s actually for.
The choice is clear. The Texas model of limited government, personal responsibility, and freedom above all is under attack by the Democrats’ radical agenda, and we must fight for our values. We must keep Texas free and keep House District 73 red — for our community’s sake and for the sake of the Lone Star State. That means we need a proven conservative candidate with real solutions, not another liberal Republican-in-name-only who’ll stick with the status quo. With your continued support, I’m ready to win in the runoff and defeat the Democrats in November.
I know it’s been a long campaign season and you’re tired of politics. (My family and I could use a few days away from it all too!) But while we’re here, I’d be remiss if I didn’t let you know that over the next 12 weeks, I’ll need your help. Baseless character assassinations by my opponent and his establishment supporters will continue, and we’ll have an uphill battle to climb. Please consider giving to our campaign financially, volunteering your time to knock doors or phone bank, or asking your friends and neighbors to support Carrie Isaac.
Jason, our boys, my team, and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, prayers, and encouragement. We couldn’t have done it without you — and we’re ready to keep House District 73 red.
See you at the polls on May 24.
