Carrie Isaac Endorsed by Former Opponent, George Green, for State Representative
George Green, former Republican candidate for Texas House District 73, today announced his endorsement of Carrie Isaac in the primary runoff election to be held May 24.
“As a former city council representative for New Braunfels, I care deeply about our community’s future, and I believe Comal and Hays counties deserve a true conservative state representative with integrity. Carrie Isaac is that candidate,” said Green Tuesday. “The way someone treats their opponents says a lot about their character. Carrie has always treated me with the utmost respect and dignity, even in tense situations on the campaign trail. I know she will serve her constituents just as honorably — and that she will never back down from defending our conservative principles against attacks by Joe Biden and radical progressives trying to turn Texas blue.”
“I’m honored to have George’s support.” Isaac said. “The way we approach critical challenges like out-of-control property taxes, our porous southern border, and protecting our constitutional rights will determine the future of the Lone Star State for generations to come. It takes great humility to set aside personal differences and publicly support a former opponent. I’m grateful for George’s willingness to serve and for placing Texans’ future first.”
“It’s unfortunate for the voters that this campaign has gotten ugly,” Green continued. “I’ve had the chance to sit down with Carrie and discuss the smear campaign against her. She answered all of my questions concisely and directly, and I’m confident the mudslinging is nothing more than a distraction from the issues that really matter to Comal and Hays counties. Carrie is a person of integrity, and I am proud to stand behind her.”
Carrie Isaac is a fourth-generation Texan, nonprofit leader, wife, mother, daughter of an Air Force veteran, IRONMAN triathlete, and proud conservative running to give Comal and Hays counties’ conservative values a powerful voice in the Texas House of Representatives. She lives in Hays County with her husband, former state representative Jason Isaac, and their two sons.
George Green is a native Texan, educator, and veteran of the United States Army Airborne Infantry. He served on the New Braunfels city council from 2013 to 2017 and was appointed by Governor Abbott to the board of the OneStar Foundation.
