Isaac Appointed to Prominent Committees
AUSTIN — Today, Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan announced the appointment of Carrie Isaac, Representative-House District 73, to important committees for the 88th Texas Legislative Session.
Representative Isaac was appointed to the House Appropriations Committee and to the Business & Industry Committee. “The legislature has one thing it must do: pass a balanced budget. I am honored to have been chosen for these important committees and look forward to the work ahead,” said Representative Isaac. "The lens through which I will look will be one of someone struggling to pay their property taxes, facing a disconnect notice from a utility, cutting back on groceries because of rising inflation, and all Texans that are threatened by the border crisis,” said Representative Isaac.
One of Representative Isaac’s priorities is utilizing the surplus of over $33 billion to provide much-needed property tax relief to Texas’ taxpayers. “My number one priority is putting money back in the pockets of our taxpayers and working to ensure fairness and transparency throughout this budget process. I am thankful and appreciate the trust that the Speaker has placed in me and I am ready to get to work,” added Isaac.
Carrie Isaac serves as the State Representative for House District 73, which includes Comal County and part of Hays County.
